We are almost 90 days out. The 2012 Carolina Cup is going to be something special. So far, we have an incredible lineup. Returning Champions Karen Wrenn and Anthony Vela, Chase Kosterlitz, Byron Kurt, Colin McPhillips, Joe Bark, Larry Cain, Jimmy Terrel, Candice Appleby, Heather Baus, Betsy Risner, Danny Ching and many many more.
There will be two clinics: Friday with Anthony Vela and Candice Appleby and Sunday with Chuck Patterson and Karen Wrenn.
There will be three stand up paddle race courses: A recreational fun race 3.5 miles. An Open race, 6-7 miles, and a 12.5 Elite Graveyard Race. We will include all divisions in all races. The rec race is a fun race.
The Wrightsville Beach Paddle Club will be supporting the following charities for this year are Surfers Healing, The Turtle Rescue Hospital in Topsail Island and a charity that donates to the American Cancer Society.
The venue for this year has changed. We’ll be at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC.
The website, hotel rates and deals, registration and course maps will be out this week, so hold on to your hats.
