Just to add I did use the J hook go pro mount and using the 3m backing stuck it to the sea sucker mount.

Teene Froiseth, Glad to see the Allison Sup Dagger concept getting attention, even from non believers. People get the sup dagger confused with a windsurf dagger position which is completely different. Interesting question you asked, displacement or planning hull. The sup dagger will work on both in the same position. The trick is to keep the sup dagger fin low aspect so it does not enter fear with the rear fin performance. The first board I did was a planning hull back in 2008 not a displacement. Hope that helps my friend.Feel free to ask more questions my friend. Mahalo, Larry

The tie downs don’t work well because the Garmin rolls and you can’t see the screen. There are inherent problems with duct tape. It’s a crap shoot. Industrial strength velcro doesn’t work well. Nightmare. This seems like it works the best so far.

The dagger fin concept has always interested me… Initially when we were build prone Paddleboards with steering… And now with the unlimited subs… I have seen interesting configurations of steering dagger fins on some surfski’s from Australia… Would a dagger fin have the same benefits on a planing hull as a displacement hull?
