At last year’s Spring Training Camps, we not only kicked off a great season, setting the tone for what ended up being a banner year for our Paddle Monster paddlers, but we made lifelong friends. We hope you can join us this year and make your 2020 race season successful and strong. #trainingworks
2020 Spring Training Camps
REGISTRATION IS OPEN. LIMITED SPOTS
LOCATION: Fort Pierce, Florida. It’s amazing.
Fort Pierce has both flatwater and ocean opportunities for training in and around the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal waterways. The vast majority of our training will be in protected waters along mangroves in and around the Intracoastal Waterway.
DESCRIPTION: February and March Camps, Long weekend and week options.
February and March long-weekend plus 3-day extension (6-day) options :: Limited Spots Available
This year we have two Spring Training Camps. Let’s spend a week together, paddle training with Coach Larry Cain and Coach Seychelle and ocean paddling and a Sports Nutrition Session with Coach Victoria Burgess, PhD. This is a Standup Paddleboard Specific Camp for all levels except absolute beginners. We are going to kick off 2020 with an intensive training experience, because training works.
This year, we have set up intense, long-weekend camps with 3 days of training with Larry and Seychelle in small groups on the water doing a variety of interval work focusing on the development of your specific aerobic base and refinement of your technique. The long weekends will also include the Ocean Paddling instruction and Nutritional Q/A. Larry and Seychelle will do video analysis sessions to identify both strengths and weaknesses in your stroke, your technical progress during the camp, and to help you develop your own plan for technical development for the coming season. For each long-weekend camp, there is the option of staying an additional 3 days to train exclusively with Coach Seychelle.
You’ll have access to both Larry and Seychelle for all the training sessions and off the water as well, to ask questions, seek clarification and gain insight into what drives them as athletes, how they train and their training and racing philosophies. And you’ll also have the ability to book separate sports nutritional consultations with Coach Victoria.
